More than 3 thousand people will recreate the Mexica migration in the Zócalo and other spaces in Mexico City this weekend. The tour will start at the Chapultepec Audiorama, where the Cincalco cave is located, which is said to be the entrance to the underworld.
As part of the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of Mexico Tenochtitlan, this Saturday, July 26, starting at 8:00 a.m., activities will take place in places such as Glorieta de Insurgentes, Audiorama del Bosque de Chapultepec, Parque Lele, Museo de la Ciudad de México and even in the Ehécatl shrine, in the Pino Suárez subway station.
The tour will end in Mexico City’s Zócalo, where activities and workshops will also be held. Keep an eye on all the details.

Throughout the day you will find activities related to our pre-Hispanic history. For example, in Chapultepec there will be a presentation about the Cincalco cave, as well as a ceremony at the Altar to the Homeland.
At the Glorieta de Insurgentes there will be a ceremony and dance circles, according to a press release. Once the activities are over, the contingents will meet and go together in a caravan to the Zócalo.
In the Plaza de la Constitución you will find different activities between 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; there will even be the opportunity to play Patolli, an ancient game.
It is important to mention that this Sunday July 27 concludes the videomapping show “Memoria luminosa”, in which the history of Mexico City is projected in the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Take advantage of the weekend to see it!
