A little piece of Nayarit will come to CDMX this weekend! It’s the Nayarit en Los Pinos festival , an event that will bring you closer to the state’s gastronomy and art. Don’t skimp on inviting your family or amix, as admission is free.
Make a note of the date in your agenda: October 18 and 19. During these days, artists, cooks and workshop participants will gather to showcase the culture of Nayarit, from its food to its traditional dances.
The delicacies you will taste
The Cocinas de Humo will be ablaze with dishes from the center and the coast. Tostadas largas de pollo, barcinas, pescado zarandeado and ceviches are some of the recipes present. To drink: guava, pineapple and soursop aguas frescas.
It should be noted that the preparations will be made by traditional cooks from different regions of Nayarit.
Artistic performances

As for entertainment, different presentations await you, such as the Ensamble Sonoridad Nayarita and the participation of the Mariachi Tradicional Flor de la Sierra.
You will also enjoy the dance show “Raíces del viejo Nayar”, presented by the Ballet Nayarit. The show includes traditional dances from coastal, mestizo, Wixaritari and Nayeri communities.
There will also be a poetic performance and a play, as well as a craft bazaar with jewelry, textiles, food and much more.
Schedule of the Nayarit Festival at Los Pinos
This event will begin at 10:00 am at the Cocinas de Humo and will end at 5:00 pm. Remember that Los Pinos Cultural Complex is located at Calzada del Rey s/n, Bosque de Chapultepec I Section, Miguel Hidalgo.
