These events will make you travel all over the Mexican Republic and without leaving the CDMX! In the smoke kitchens of Los Pinos you will embark on an adventure of flavor; here you will taste emblematic recipes from different states such as Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Michoacán or Tabasco.
Every Saturday and Sunday (10:00 to 18:00) cooks from different regions come and prepare representative dishes. For example, mole de olla as in Mexico City, picaditas from Veracruz or pozole de conejo from Huamantla. Each dish is impregnated with the flavors and aromas of smoke, firewood and embers. 🔥
Molcajete sauces, corn tortillas and the use of comales and metates are not lacking. Occasionally you’ll find pulque, chocolate and other elements that make up the gastronomic culture of Mexico. Every weekend there is a different menu and you can check it out through Cencalli’s Facebook profile.
In addition to Cocinas de humo, Los Pinos hosts the Mercado del solar. Producers and exhibitors offer all kinds of products such as amaranth, honey, vegetables, vegetables, cocoa and other edibles. There are also handmade items such as toys, textiles or decoration.
There are thematic editions in which seasonal products are sold. Such as pan de muerto, rosca de reyes, tamales, fish and endless groceries. The best thing is that you can talk to their producers; know the process of creation and the work behind it.
The market and smoke kitchens are located in Cencalli, the home of corn and food culture. This area is located inside the Complejo Cultural Los Pinos at 📍 Parque Lira s/n, Bosque de Chapultepec I Sección, Miguel Hidalgo. Who will you go with to try these delicacies? 🤤
