Are you ready to enter the house of terror or to see the caravan of catrinas? Get everything organized because Nezamictlán 2024 is coming! This festival has many activities to celebrate Day of the Dead in Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico.
This year Nezamictlán 2024 will take place from October 28th to November 3rd. Every day there will be different activities. Don’t worry because here we bring you the complete program. You will taste pan de muerto, get scared in the house of terror and even enjoy a show in which La Llorona is the protagonist.
What will there be in Nezahualcóyotl for Day of the Dead?
The first thing you will find is the Bread of the Dead Fair in Nezahualcóyotl, which will be set up in the esplanade of the Municipal Palace from October 28 to November 2. You can visit it from 11:00 to 22:00 hours.
Afterwards, the Caravan of Catrinas and Catrines will take place in Nezahualcóyotl from October 30 to November 1. Each day will take place at 6:00 p.m. but in a different area. Here are the routes:
- October 30: North Zone – from Mexico Avenue and Tepic, colonia Vergel de Guadalupe to Unidad Administrativa Nezahualcóyotl.
- October 31: Downtown – from 7th street and 4th avenue, Estado de México neighborhood to Ángel de la Independencia and Pantitlán avenues, Evolución neighborhood.
- November 1: Zona Oriente – from Cama de Piedra and 14th Street, Esperanza neighborhood to the Municipal Palace.
Day of the Dead is not complete without ofrendas, so a Mega Ofrenda will be installed at the Municipal Cemetery, which you can visit from October 31 to November 2.
Finally, from October 31 to November 3, the Teatro del Pueblo will host two events: the House of Terror ( from 19:00 to 00:00) and the La Llorona show. The latter will have three performances: 19:00, 21:00 and 23:00.
