Mexico City never ceases to surprise us with its unconventional, secret and unusual places. Like the Mirador de Dolores, a space located in the Dolores Pantheon that offers unique views of the Chapultepec Forest.
It is a walkway that connects the Third Section of the Forest with the cemetery. This construction is relatively new; it was restored in 2024, because for many years it served as a vacant lot.
It is a pedestrian path 1.3 kilometers long. But beyond a walk, you can appreciate the landscape of the Barranca de Dolores in one of its contemplative plazas or rest areas. Its design includes quarry stone and vegetation.

It should be noted that this project is not unrelated to the cemetery, as it includes 2,160 niches for urns.
The Chapultepec viewpoint in the Dolores Pantheon is one of the best kept secrets of our city. If you decide to visit it, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes, as well as a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.
Can I enter the Mirador de Dolores?
Although this space is open to the public, users have reported that the viewpoint is occasionally closed. The authorities have not reported any information about definitive, partial or maintenance closures.

If you want to continue exploring the hidden places of our city, this viewpoint should be on your list.
