The January snows are gone, the heat has reached the CDMX and we are craving for some good seafood from Chalino Chino. We are talking about a new place that, on the one hand, pays homage to the culichi singer and, on the other hand, presents classic flavors of oriental cuisine. All in a laminated stall to be enjoyed at street level.
The menu is short, but precise: shrimp, oyster or octopus cocktails, whiting and Chalina tostada are some of the options on the menu. But not before welcoming you with a hot shrimp broth.
Of course, all the recipes have a touch of oriental flavor, ingredients and techniques. For example, the wontons stuffed with shrimp and pork bathed in macha sauce. If you go on the last Sunday of the month, you will find a special dish.
Beyond the taste, this is a project with a concept; a place where Chalino changes his northern hat for a bamboo one. Of course, Chinese lanterns are not missing in the decoration and our favorite: an altar to Chalino Sanchez himself! Just what you were looking for to pray to your Prenda del alma.
If you also have a soul in love with seafood, run to know Chalino Chino located at 📍 Sinaloa 41, Roma Norte. You can visit 🕛 Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00. Please note that each dish is between $160 and $240; soft drinks $40.
