Let’s forget about the cold with the 2026 Tamale and Atole Fair. This is a food event where we will enjoy this traditional dish. The best part is that it will be right on Candlemas Day.
February is just around the corner. This month will begin with lots of flavor and tradition, especially with the arrival of this gastronomic fair, which will be held on the esplanade of the Venustiano Carranza City Hall (Francisco del Paso y Troncoso 219, Jardín Balbuena neighborhood).
It will be on Monday, February 2. Don’t worry about a thing because that day will be the first long weekend of the year (due to February 5, Constitution Day). You can visit the event from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
What will be at the 2026 Tamale and Atole Fair in Mexico City?
This fair will feature all kinds of tamales: sweet, green, mole, rajas, and many more. Of course, there will also be a wide variety of atoles, a traditional drink that is ideal for warming up in the cold weather.
In addition, there will be live music. The Ambassadors of Cumbia Dinamita will be performing, so get your best dance moves ready. This fair will feature food and lots of rhythm.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the only borough that will have a tamale fair. From January 30 to February 2, the Gran Feria del Tamal will be held in Tláhuac. It will take place on the Miguel Hidalgo walkway and the esplanade of the Kiosco in that borough.
The Iztapalapa borough will also have a tamale fair from January 30 to February 2. The venue will be the Macroplaza.
