did you know that this transportation system arrived in CDMX in 1900? This was the sensation at the time and was powered by various energy sources.
Imagine getting to know the city as it used to be. There is a sightseeing tour that features fantastic units old-fashioned that will make you feel like you’re in another era while touring the CDMX!
Surely you have seen those red Trams in different parts of the city. The Tourist Tramway project was born from Martha Ferrer’s initiative in 1993, with the objective of rediscovering and preserving the history of the Historic Center of the CDMX.
In the year 2000, the company became a city tour company and offers tours and tours in which they provide historical and cultural information about the CDMX.
Tourist Tram Routes
The CDMX Tourist Tramway has five different circuits that you won’t want to miss:

- Historic Downtown Circuit (Every day from 11:00 a.m.)
In this tour you will relive the ancient Mexico from the Great Tenochtitlan and Novo-Hispanic Mexico to the present day.
The route to follow starts at the Metropolitan Cathedral and passes through the Santo Domingo Temple, the Post Office Palace, Franz Mayer Museum, San Hipolito Temple, Fine Arts, Spanish Casino, La Profesa Temple and ends at the National Palace.

- Condesa Circuit (Every day from 11:00 a.m.)
You will be transported to another era and you will visit the most fashionable neighborhoods such as Roma-Condesa. You will enjoy its architecture, beautiful parks and more.
The route goes through Mexico Park, Plaza de las Cibeles, Plaza Rio de Janeiro, Casa Universitaria del Libro, Sagrada Familia Parish, Casa LAM, Coronation Parish and Spain Park

- Circuito Coyoacán (Every day from 10:30 a.m.)
On this tour you will learn about the history of this colorful neighborhood full of traditions, handicrafts and charming alleys. You will learn more about the life of Frida Kahlo, Hernán Cortés and more.
The route visits the Jardín Hidalgo, the Frida Kahlo Museum museo Casa de León Trotsky, Museo Nacional de las Culturas Populares, Mercado de Coyoacán, Viveros de Coyoacán, Puente de Panzacola, Museo Nacional de la Acuarela and Plaza Santa Catarina.

- Circuito Polanco (This tour is by reservation)
Here you will learn about contemporary Mexico. You will visit important museums, chic avenues and learn the history of how it became a reference Zone in the CDMX.
The route begins at the Museum of Modern Art, Tamayo Museum, National Museum of Anthropology, Chapultepec Zoo, Centro Asturiano, Lincoln Park, San Agustin Parish, Soumaya Museum, Inbursa Aquarium, ending at Glorieta Presidente Masaryk.

- Zone Rosa Circuit (Soon available)
Here you will get to know one of the most iconic neighborhoods of the CDMX. You will discover where the cultural revolution of Mexico in the 1960s began.
The route will visit INAH, Mercado de Artesanías, Museo de Cera and Ripley, Biblioteca Benjamin Franklin, Glorieta de Insurgentes, Acueducto de Chapultepec, Parroquia del Santo Niño de la Paz, Angel de la Independencia, Fuente de la Diana Cazadora, Glorieta del Ahuehuete.
Costs and days available
You should know that most of the tours last approximately 45 minutes and are pet friendly you will be able to join Milaneso on these tours around the CDMX. The cost per adult is $140 pesos. Children and INAPAM only pay $90 pesos.
The circuits through the Historic Center and Condesa are available every day starting at 11:00 am. The Coyoacán Circuit is available daily from 10:30 am.
However, the Polanco Circuit can only be booked in advance by calling 55 5659 7198 or 55 5658 4027.
The best thing is There is the option of taking the Thematic Tour of Legends in the Historic Center, Coyoacan and Condesa circuits. Here you will be told the most famous legends of the Zone you choose.
It is important for you to know that the Legends Themed Tour has the same cost as the normal one and you only have to buy your tickets for those three circuits at 7:00 pm. It is available every day.
