1. Diamond Waterfall
Within the Dos Aguas ecotourism park, just an hour and a half from Mexico City, you will find this waterfall, considered a water sanctuary. It is one of the three highest waterfalls in the region with 110 meters high and is fed by the melting of Iztaccihuatl.

2. Velo de Novia Waterfall
This member of the list is located near Valle de Bravo, only 2 hours from Mexico City. It is 35 meters high and its flow comes from the waters of the San Juan creek, which crosses the forests adjacent.
The waterfall itself is the heart of the Velo de Novia Ecological Park, where you will find barbecue grills, tables for field days you will also find food and handicraft stores, as well as trails where you will connect with nature.

3. Basaltic Prisms
Undoubtedly, this is one of the most photographed waterfalls near the CDMX, as it cascades over a curious rock formation produced by the activity volcanic and it is just over two hours from the City!
When you visit them, you will come across a long gorge made up of prismatic-shaped stone ledges, hence the name. There are several places to see them, among them the Hacienda de Santa María Regla or the Centro Turístico Primas Basálticos, both near Huasca de Ocampo, in Hidalgo.

4. Tixhiñu Waterfalls
20 minutes from magical town aculco, in the State of Mexico, you will find these monumental waterfalls, which many call “Mexico’s little Niagara”.

6. Aconco Waterfalls
These waterfalls are located 35 minutes from Tetela de Ocampo, a town located in the Sierra Norte de Puebla. There are two of them (one of 45 meters and the other of 75 meters) and they are an excellent alternative if you like strong emotions or if you don’t mind getting a little wet.
