Are you tough or technical? Whatever your corner of the ring, get your sneakers ready because the Carrera del Ring is coming soon, a fun sporting event that will combine the world of running with Mexican wrestling.
If you grew up with a ring idol and enjoy running, this race is for you because the theme will be wrestling, one of the greatest sports and spectacles of Mexican culture.
When and where will the Carrera del Ring be held?
Tie up your shoelaces and put on your mask! Because the Carrera del Ring will be on November 30 at the Monumento a la Revolución and will have categories so that everyone can participate, from beginners to those who enjoy longer distances.
Rough and technical runners will meet in this wonderful event that will have two categories: 10 and 5 kilometers. For those who decide to participate in the longer distance, the start time will be at 6:30 a.m., while the schedule for the shorter route is yet to be defined.
In this edition of the race organized by the World Wrestling Council, Asdeporte and the government of the CDMX, there will be limited space. Up to 5,000 runners will be able to participate, so reserve your number before the places are sold out.
To register, you can do it through asdeporte.com; registration is priced at $740 (plus service charges).
Along the race route you will see participants wearing masks and some will have the opportunity to select their favorite side of the ring to wear the representative t-shirt during the event.
In addition, the route will include emblematic places of the CDMX, such as Paseo de la Reforma, the Alameda Central (along Juárez and Hidalgo avenues) and, if you choose the 10 km route, Chapultepec Avenue. The start and finish line will be the Monumento a la Revolución.
So if you want to feel like La Parka, Blue Demon or El Santo, don’t miss this race that will take the ring to the streets.
