Get your mat ready and join this free yoga class at the Botanical Garden of ChapultepecForest.
This is an initiative of the BikeNCity collective, which invites you to join with your full name and a contact email in your registration.
As we said, there is no entrance fee and it also includes talks on nutrition, psychoanalysis and how to protect yourself against noise pollution.
The appointment will be at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, June 21, as part of the activities of the Second Community Meeting: Collective Action for Urban Health.
So get your tennis shoes, comfortable clothes and your best attitude ready. Please note: you don’t need to have previous experience or be a yogi of any level, everyone is welcome!
The itinerary of the yoga class at Chapu Botanical Garden.
We recommend you to arrive very punctual to get in the mood and take your place. However, the organizers estimate that the activities will start around 10:15.
After that, there will be three interesting free talks that you won’t want to miss:
- 10:15 Knowledge to nourish ourselves in the city, with nutritionist Nidia Mercado Tena.
- 10:30 Conversar para no enfermarnos, with psychoanalyst Jimena Barush.
- 10:45 Listening to the city: reflections on noise pollution, with researcher Jimena de Gortari.
After the talks, the yoga class will begin. The instructor in charge will be teacher María José Villaseñor.
And once the restorative yoga session concludes, it will be time for the picnic!
Although you can bring your own food, we tell you that Corena (Conservation, Preservation and Protection of Conservation Soil) will be selling natural and healthy products in some stands during the activity.
And since Comunidad knows it is raining in CDMX, they are preparing to move the class to a roofed space inside the Botanical Garden itself (📍 Paseo de la Reforma 126, Bosque de Chapultepec I Secc, Miguel Hidalgo). If the latter happens, we will update the info in this article.
