3. Estanquillo Museum

4. Stellar Museum
did you know that in Mexico City there is a museum dedicated to Star Wars? It has different rooms where you will see vintage figures, statues, busts, light sabers and ships. Tickets are free of charge; however, you must make a reservation in advance through your page.

5. Museum of Medicine
The Palace Museum of the School of Medicine will take you to learn all about the human body. You will find the anatomy room, herbalism and even pre-Hispanic medicine. You will be amazed at what you will see and learn.

6. Soumaya Museum
This is a space full of art. Mexican and European works of art are exhibited, including works from the Italian, Flemish, Dutch, German, French and Spanish schools. Regarding Mexican art, you will see creations by diverse artists such as Arrieta, Bustos and Velasco. Open daily.

7. Railroad Museum
This museum will take you back to another era when railroads were at their peak. You will learn about the history of this means of transportation and different machines. The venue is located in an emblematic place: what used to be the Villa station. Each month they have new activities ranging from readings to dance.

8. Photography Archive Museum
This museum is located in what used to be part of the “Mayorazgo Nava Chávez” house. It was inaugurated in 2006 and maintains the decoration of the original facade. Here we seek to disseminate visual culture through exhibitions, concerts workshops and more activities. It also has an enormous photographic collection made up of millions of pieces.

9. National Museum of World Cultures

11. Jumex Museum

12. Banco de México Museum
Learn more about money, exchange and its role in society. In this precinct you will see temporary exhibits and some permanent ones such as the Bank of Mexico Room with interactive pieces or the numismatic collection.
The most visited area is the vault, located in the basement of the building. Be careful! Please note that you must register in advance in order to meet her. Also, you have to reserve your access through the official site of the Banco de México Museum.

13. Cartography Museum

14. Los Pinos Cultural Complex

15. National Biodiversity Pavilion
In the list of museums with free tickets in CDMX, this UNAM museum could not be missing. It is an interactive space with six permanent rooms. It has samples of vertebrates such as fish, reptiles and amphibians, birds and mammals. In addition, there is a collection of woods.
It has two laboratories: Genomic Sequencing and Molecular Biology. And, on the lower level, there are artistic pieces from the Soumaya Museum related to the animal kingdom.

16. Yancuic Museum
One of the most impressive things about this venue, which opened in February 2024, is the giant jaguar that welcomes you.
It is a huge, multi-level building that houses two educational stations and four themed rooms, two of which are immersive. Inside you will also find garden areas, food, scientific and interactive activities.
Its thematic is environmental, because its permanent exhibition will teach you about climate change y biodiversity in a very funny way.

17. Eight Neighborhoods Community Museum of Ixtapalapa
from Iztapalapa for the world! Los Ángeles Azules now shine in the new Iztapalapa museum, which opened its doors on April 10, 2024. Its mission is to enhance the traditions and culture of the native communities of that municipality, including music.
Because the creators of “El listón de tu pelo” started out by setting local dances to music, but then came the big break. Their history and that of other groups awaits you here.
