If there is one thing Mexico City has, it is an extensive cultural offer. That is why on this occasion we present free exhibitions that you cannot miss. Most of them are permanent, so you have a good chance to see them.
Interactive Model of the CDMX
After being closed for maintenance, the large model reopened its doors in December 2022. In addition to seeing the CDMX to scale, you can enjoy video mapping projections.

Exhibition on medicine
In the Palace of the School of Medicine you will always find something to see or do. Among its free (and permanent) exhibits are some related to medicine and the human body.
During your visit, don’t forget to visit the Anatomy, Apothecary, Waxes, Reconstructive Surgery and Pre-Hispanic Medicine rooms.

Exhibition on shoes
In the Historic Center there is an enclosure full of shoes. Its name is Museo del Calzado el Borceguí and it exhibits countless pieces from different periods, as well as some that belonged to great figures, including Chabelo and the little dog Frida.

Megadiversity
The National Biodiversity Pavilion has unmissable exhibits, including one on Megadiversity, where you will learn all about the biodiversity that exists in the world and in our country.
There is also a room dedicated to Mexico’s ecosystems and another on the actions we must take to care for the environment. All of them are part of its permanent halls.

Climate change
At the beginning of 2023, the Utopia Ship a new space for culture and entertainment in Iztapalapa. Among its attractions is a room dedicated to climate change. Through screenings, displays and activities you will learn more about the issue and the actions we can take to address this situation.

Enrique Metinides
It is one of the free exhibitions in CDMX that you cannot miss. It is dedicated to Enrique Metinides, an emblematic photojournalist who left a great legacy. Through the exhibition you will learn more about his work and you will even be able to see part of his collection of toys and ambulances.

The David and the Pietà
The Soumaya Museum (one of the free museums in CDMX) received a pair of replicas at the beginning of 2023. One is dedicated to David, while the other is of La Piedad.
Regarding the David, the piece measures almost six meters and was made by Florentine artists. If you haven’t visited them yet, now is a good time to do so.

Desert Flood
This is a group exhibition that addresses the way in which humans relate to nature and the impact it has. You will see works by international and national artists.

Learn all about Korean culture
The National Museum of World Cultures has an exhibition on Korean culture. You will learn about art, customs, beliefs and traditions. The exhibition is composed of 110 pieces that will take you to discover Korea without leaving Mexico City.
