This list of places to take pictures in CDMX would not be complete without mentioning the Centro de Cultura Digital. This space has installations, exhibitions and labs that will blow your mind.

3. MUNAL

The National Museum of Art is one of the spots where you should at least take a selfie. The architecture of the building, located in the Historic Center, dates from the 20th century and is the work of Italian architect Silvio Contri. Before becoming a museum, MUNAL was the Palace of Communications and Public Works.
Inside, in addition to artistic exhibits, you will find stairways, passageways and photographable walls. Please note that permission to take photos costs $5 in addition to your admission ticket.

4. Universum

This UNAM museum could not be left out of the list. It has impressive rooms where, in addition to learning about animal species, the human body, the universe and technology, you will enter spaces with installations and pieces worthy of a good photo.
One of the most impressive exhibits is “Ocean. Unknown Immensity” that will immerse you to the bottom of the sea with lights, projections and representations of species.

5. Plaza Carso Terrace

One of our favorite places to take pictures in CDMX is the roof garden of Plaza Carso. It is free to access and has a masterful view of the Soumaya Museum. Best of all, this area is pet friendly, in case you are looking for a photo session with Firulais.
To enter, you must first go to the elevator area, ask for the “exclusive to terraces” and go down to the C3 floor.

6. Chapultepec Castle

If you are one of those who get excited about history and good views, Chapultepec Castle will probably bring a tear to your eye.
Not only is it the official home of the National Museum of Mexican History, but it also hosts exhibitions and is the stage for Candlelight concerts. Can you imagine a better place to take pictures than a space as elegant and historic as this one, illuminated by thousands of candles? Neither can we.

7. Luis Barragan House Studio

This house-museum was built in 1948 by renowned architect Luis Barragan, a place he lived until his death. During 2004, the building was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has become a highly visited place by art lovers, locals and tourists.
Its contemporary walls, rooms and corridors have been part of incredible photo shoots. Are you up for one at this site?

8. Former Flour Factory

If you are looking for urban sets, then the Ex Fábrica de Harina will be the winning option. Here you will find murals with expressions of emerging artists and impressive graffiti. There are even temporary exhibitions that launch social and cultural messages.

Lago Algo, in Bosque de Chapultepec, is a gastronomic and cultural center where contemporary exhibitions are concentrated. 11. Palacio Postal

With more than 115 years of life, the Postal Palace is one of the legendary buildings of Mexico City. Its construction took about five years; it is the work of Italian architect Adamo Boari and Mexican engineer Gonzalo Garita.
The spaces of this building are considered eclectic, as they merge the Elizabethan and Plateresque styles. The majestic marble and bronze staircase will make your photos the coolest on Instagram.
