All about the last supermoon of 2024
The best thing about the October supermoon is that you won’t need a telescope or anything to see it. You just need clear skies and enjoy the show.
According to data from UNAM Global, you’ll be able to see the supermoon starting at 🕛 19:26 this 📅 Wednesday, October 16. At 6:26 on October 17, the Moon will be at its closest point to Earth.
However, the best time to see the supermoon will be during sunset on October 16. So get ready so you don’t miss this spectacle. The next supermoon is expected to occur until August 2025.
If you are looking to take a picture of it, UNAM recommends doing it just when you see it on the horizon, in order to contrast it with the landscape and make it look even bigger.
About the astronomical phenomena that we still have left this 2024, let us tell you that from November 14 to 21 we will see the Leonids star shower; while in December the Geminids will arrive.
The latter is very intense, since up to 120 meteors per hour are usually seen.
