The skulls are out of their graves! This weekend is the perfect time to celebrate the Day of the Dead and here are three massive events you can’t miss.
1. Mega ofrenda in the Zocalo

This Saturday the Day of the Dead Monumental Offering 2025 will be inaugurated. This edition will commemorate the 700th anniversary of the founding of Mexico-Tenochtitlan.
This year’s installation is called “Encounter between voices, poems, pilgrimage, history and tradition”, and will feature monumental figures that reach up to ten meters in height. There will also be marigold flowers and a sawdust carpet on November 20th Avenue.
The inauguration will be complemented with outdoor cinema: you will enjoy the movie Cronos by Guillermo del Toro and other films.
