Let’s celebrate the Christmas season with lots of music! Starting December 25 we will be able to enjoy the ballet show Christmas in Mexico at the Chapultepec Castle.
The event stars the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez and seeks to represent the traditions and customs of the entire country. Tickets are already on sale.
When can you see the ballet show Christmas in Mexico?
This year you can enjoy a total of four performances starting December 25 and ending December 29. Tickets are available online and also at the box office of the Palacio de Bellas Artes or directly at the Chapultepec Castle.
The dates are all at 7:00 pm:
- Wednesday, December 25
- Thursday, December 26th
- Friday, December 27th
- Saturday, December 28th
- Sunday, December 29th
According to the official website of the ballet, the choreography and everything that makes up this Christmas show was generated thanks to a research carried out by Amalia Hernandez herself.
Thus, you will see on stage the most emblematic traditions related to Christmas developed in three scenes:
- Annunciation and living nativity: moment in which you will hear various carols.
- Three Wise Men: traditional dances from different states of the country are performed.
- Traditional Posada: you will listen to traditional songs, including the litany, and see folkloric dances.
Ticket price 2024:
The cost for each ticket, all are in general admission, is $1,180, plus service charges. Currently they have a 20% promotion on the purchase of your tickets and you can buy a maximum of six per person.
The show began to be created in 1994, but it was not until 2006 that it came to fruition. To date it is one of the Christmas events you can’t miss, so save the date and don’t miss it! The Christmas season is almost here.
