Day of the Dead 2024 is just around the corner! CDMX knows it, that’s why some of its streets are already dressed according to the occasion, including one of the most beautiful roads. That’s right: you can already see cempasúchil flowers on Reforma.
As it is already a tradition, this and other streets in Mexico City were decorated with thousands of cempasúchil flowers to celebrate the Day of the Dead. You will find them in areas such as around the Angel of Independence and Diana Cazadora.
Get your camera or cell phone ready because the autumn sunsets and the cempasúchil offer incredible scenery for taking pictures.
The cempasúchil flowers are coming to Reforma!
One of the things we love most about this season is seeing Paseo de la Reforma full of cempasúchil flowers, isn’t it?
The best thing is that not only will you see cempasúchil on Reforma, but you can also buy these flowers. Note: we are not talking about the ones that are used as decoration, but the ones that will be offered at the Festival de Flores de Cempasúchil (Marigold Flower Festival).
The event will take place from October 17 to November 3 on Paseo de la Reforma. You will be able to buy cempasúchil for your ofrenda; however, during this fair they usually sell other seasonal flowers, food, pots and even items to decorate your garden.
Visit it from 10:00 to 19:00 hours.
