Do you dare to listen to horror stories in the middle of the forest during the night? This is one of the activities that will take place in Chapultepec for the Day of the Dead. Don’t worry about anything because we bring you the complete program.
The Chapultepec Forest will not be left without celebrating Day of the Dead 2024 in a big way. It will have several activities, which will take place at various points of this forest in Mexico City.
What will be in Chapultepec Park for the Day of the Dead?
There will be all kinds of activities around the Bosque de Chapultepec. Starting this October 29th with the Cempaxochitl exhibit in Chapultepec. You will find it at Calzada Juventud Heroica until October 31 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Horror stories will also be told as part of the Night of Museums. The date is October 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rinconada de los Ahuehuetes, next to the Museo de Sitio. As for the other activities, here is the complete program:
- October 30 – El fandango de los muertos: is a play that will be presented at the Jardín de Adultos Mayores at 10:30 am.
- October 28 to November 3 – Day of the Dead Offering: visit it at the Quinta Colorada from 6:00 to 18:00 hours.
- November 1, 2 and 3 – Cantos Acardenchados: listen to these pieces at the Audiorama at 12:00 noon.
- November 1, 2 and 3 – Muerte en Haití, Félix Blume: this activity will take place at the Audiorama at 1:30 pm.
- November 2 and 3 – Rimas del Inframundo Tour: this tour will start at the Kiosco del Pueblo. Space is limited, so be sure to arrive early. There will be two tours, one at 12:00 noon and the other at 2:00 pm.
- November 2 and 3 – The keys to the beyond: this workshop will be held at Calzada Juventud Heroica at 1:00 pm. They will teach you how to make figures with moldable foamy.
- November 2 and 3 – An offering to my loved ones: this workshop will be held at 2:00 pm at the Calzada Juventud Heroica.
- November 2 and 3 – The color of the catrinas: join this workshop at 12:00 noon at Calzada Juventud Heroica.
- November 2 – Anatomy of an altar: this workshop will be held at 2:00 pm at the site museum.
All activities are free; just note that a couple of them have limited capacity.
