In the middle of Halloween night we will have a Day of the Dead themed bike ride. It is spearheaded by Paseo de Todos Mexico City, a citizens’ organization that organizes night rides on the last Thursday of every month.
Each edition adopts a different theme. The October edition, of course, will be dedicated to the Day of the Dead. It’s called Un Paseo al Mictlán and will be held on Thursday, October 31 📅 Everyone is invited!
Join us for the Day of the Dead bike ride.
The event will be at night and you can go in costume. It will start at 🕛 20:30 pm. Like the other editions, the starting point will be the 📍 Monumento a la Revolución.
Access is free and everyone can participate, including children (as long as they are accompanied by an adult). In general there is no loan of bicycles; so you must bring your own.
The organizers recommend wearing reflective clothing, as well as carrying a spare tire patch or inner tube in case of a puncture. Don’t forget to bring your bike in good condition and follow the indications that will be given along the route.
It is important to note that this is not the same night ride organized by the Mexico City government. The Day of the Dead night ride will take place on 📅 Saturday, October 26 from 19:00 to 23:00.
The route will have an extension of 20 kilometers and will go from Fuente de Petróleos to Izazaga in the Historic Center of the CDMX. At different points along the route there will be activities such as concerts and contests.
Just as you read: CDMX will not only have one Day of the Dead ride, but two. Which one are you going to do? Remember that you can go to both in costume.
