Get off the couch and get the kids ready because there’s plenty to do during the vacations. Here’s a list of activities for the kids to have fun during Semana Santa; there are free and for-cost options, as well as plans for all ages. Take note.
1. Movies under the stars
At Parque La Mexicana the kids will be able to enjoy outdoor cinema. There are three days of screenings; each one features a different movie. Get your popcorn ready to see Barbie, Batman or Guardians of the Galaxy. The best part is that access is free.

2. Albercas GAM
In the municipality of Gustavo A. Madero, the pools of its aquatic sports centers will be set up. In 8 locations the kids will be able to take a dip. Be careful, because adults will also be able to access them.

3. Picnic with music
The Chapultepec Forest Festival is about to begin; this edition will have a lot of activities for kids to enjoy during Easter. One of them is the night picnic with music.
This plan is called “Night of Bats“, as the festival will pay tribute to these nocturnal animals. The Silent Music for Film Ensemble will perform “Nosferatu: a symphony of horror”.
Be careful, because there will be two picnics: musical (March 29) and costume (March 30) where the kids are invited to wear their attire alluding to bats.

4. Free theater
In the Espacio X of the Cultural Center of Spain in Mexico there will be a theater performance for children. “Las aventuras de Pippi y otras niñas extraordinarias” is the staging that will take the little ones on a hilarious adventure.

5. Chapultepec Forest Festival
Among the activities for children during Easter Week, the Chapultepec Forest Festival could not be missed. This 2024 will have giant bats, although that’s not all, as this event is made up of exhibitions, workshops, shows and much more.

6. Injuvecon Festival

7. Spring Roll
It’s time for the little ones to get on their skates, bikes or tricycles because the Rodada de primavera is here. In this event, kids and adults will be able to ride through the main streets of the city at night. The route will have an extension of 20 kilometers.

8. Aztlán Urban Park
The Aztlán Urban Park has finally opened its doors, yes, where the legendary Chapultepec Fair used to be. Easter vacations are the perfect pretext for the little ones to get to know this new amusement park and have fun on the Ferris wheel or the games of skill.

9. Dinosaurs among us
This list of Easter activities for children would not be complete without mentioning “Dinosaurs among us”, a Jurassic exhibition located at the Universum of the UNAM. The little ones will learn about these beings and will be amazed with the installations of this exhibition. The perfect plan for dinosaur lovers.
Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00; the box office closes at 16:00.
