1. Frida Kahlo Museum, Blue House
It is one of the most emblematic museums in Coyoacán, since this is where Frida Kahlo spent most of her life. After his death, it was decided to convert the site into a museum which opened its doors in 1958.
In addition to several of his paintings, the so-called Blue House exhibits working instruments, things he collected, photos and personal items. We recommend that you keep an eye on their social networks the company organizes walks in the area from time to time.
You can buy your tickets online. It is worth mentioning that the site does not open on monday and on January 1, May 1, June 2, September 16, as well as on December 13 and 25.

2. Watercolor Museum
This museum was created by the painter Alfredo Guati Rojo. The objective of the enclosure is to promote art, mainly watercolor painting. In addition to exhibitions, it offers a variety of activities, including workshops where you can bring out your artistic side.
If you want to learn more about watercolor painting, you’ll be glad to know that the museum offers classes. All activities are announced through social networks.

3. National Museum of Interventions
This museum in Coyoacán is located in the former convent of Churubusco. In the precinct there are two main themes: religious life of the time and the interventions suffered by Mexico. It is a must-see site, not only for its exhibits, but also for the historic building in which it is located.
It is worth mentioning that this museum usually hosts the St. Patrick’s Fest, which is held in March of each year.

4. National Museum of Popular Cultures
This museum opened its doors on September 24, 1982 and, as its name implies, is focused on popular cultures. The site usually hosts temporary exhibitions and organizes various artistic activities. It is an ideal space to connect with art.

5. Leon Trotsky Museum
It is a space with a lot of history. In this house (located very close to the Frida Kahlo Museum) lived Leon Trotsky. Currently the museum houses some personal items, photographs and much more. You will learn, for example, the history of Trotsky and his arrival in Mexico.

6. University Museum of Contemporary Art
It is one of the museums in Coyoacán that you cannot miss. It is a university museum of contemporary art of the UNAM. Its collection is composed of more than two thousand pieces of art created by nearly 300 different artists.
Its main mission is to promote contemporary art, so they have different activities and temporary exhibitions.

7. Universum
If you like science you will love this museum. It has amazing rooms where you will learn about the universe, the ocean, water, chemistry and much more. 8. Anahuacalli
This museum in Coyoacán is unique in its kind, not only for what it houses, but for the imposing construction which has unmissable details in every corner. It was inaugurated in 1964 to house Diego Rivera‘s enormous collection of pre-Hispanic art.
Two thousand of these items are part of the permanent exhibition; however, the complete collection is made up of more than 45 thousand pieces.

9. National Diversity Pavilion
This space celebrates and exhibits Mexican biodiversity. In fact, it houses part of the National Collections of the Institute of Biology. It has three levels where you will see different types of animals, temporary exhibits, wood and more. There is even a cafeteria.
In one place you will learn all that hides the natural environment in Mexico, including animals and plants.
