Summer 2024 has arrived in CDMX! It’s time to get out your sunglasses and think about your next vacation. Here we tell you what to do in the City (and close by) during this time of year; fun and entertainment will be out of the question so make a plan with your favorite people.
1. Van Gogh Immersive Expo
At the end of June we will be able to enjoy this exhibition that presents Van Gogh’s works through amazing installations. It is a immersive experience the 360° projections, animations and virtual reality will make you feel like you are inside a painting! There are also activities for children, a cafeteria and even a souvenir store.

2. Flower Fair at El Carmen Museum
This 2024 the summer will paint the south of CDMX with colors. The Feria de las Flores de San Ángel is already being prepared. The general Program for the event has not yet been released. What we do know is that the Museo de El Carmen will be participating with an incredible floral-themed painting contest. Consult the call for applications here.

3. Exhibitions at LAA
If you enjoy visit museums and cultural spaces, take advantage of the summer to visit the Laboratorio Arte Alameda. Here you will see a couple of exhibitions which uses artificial intelligence, mapped projections and performance to touch on themes related to bodies, biology, emotions and transformation.

4. Beach closer to CDMX
If your body is in search of sea, sun and sand, then head to Tecolutla in Veracruz. This is the closest beach to Mexico City; it can take up to three and a half hours to get there. In addition to taking a dip, you will be able to visit its aquarium or its museum on marine life.

5. Coffee and Chocolate Fest
Don’t worry if during summer 2024 you will be staying in CDMX, because there are also incredible plans and some delicious ones like this one. The Café y Chocolate Fest is a gastronomic event that will delight you with tastings and products based on cocoa and chocolate coffee. There will also be musical presentations, ceremonies, lectures and much more.

6. Firefly sanctuaries
During the summer the wooded areas light up, that means the firefly season has started! Near CDMX there are plenty of sanctuaries with guided tours and even camp where you can meet these luminous insects. Consultation the list here.
7. La Playita Beach Club
summer was made to relax and enjoy! Pack your bags and head to this club located near San Miguel de Allende. It has a natural pool where you can cool off and decide whether you want to relax in the family or adult Zone. You can make a reservation at official site page.

10. Mextrópoli
To close the summer of 2024 on a high note, CDMX welcomes Mextrópoli. We are talking about a festival of architecture where sculptures and exhibitions will be installed in different parts of the city. There will also be tours, lectures and conferences at the Teatro Metropólitan.
