Start organizing your agenda! This October 30 the Day of the Dead activities will begin at Parque la Mexicana. You will see a giant catrina, as well as a monumental alebrije. That’s not all, because you will also learn more about some of the traditions of this season.
It is our duty to warn you that the last days of October and the first days of November will be full of unmissable events, there will be something to do everywhere! For example, Parque la Mexicana will have several activities to celebrate the Day of the Dead. Take a look at the program.
What will be at Parque la Mexicana for Day of the Dead?
The activities will start this Wednesday, October 20 with the installation of a catrina and an alebrije. Both figures will be monumental; you will be able to see them at the Central Fountain from October 30 to November 5 from 8:00 to 20:00 hours.
On that same date you will also have the chance to visit the great Day of the Dead offering that will be installed in the Amphitheater. Take a walk between 10:00 and 20:00 hours.
Of course there will be no shortage of costumes. On October 31 there will be children’s costumes and make-up at the park’s Gourmet Terrace. The hours will be from 15:00 to 17:00.
Finally, on Saturday, November 2, you will learn more about the emblematic Catrina and the Day of the Dead offerings. You will find the first activity at the Central Fountain from 18:00 to 20:00 hours; while the second will be at the Amphitheater during the same hours.
What else will there be in CDMX for Day of the Dead?
As we mentioned, there will be a lot to do these days. On October 30, the monumental ofrenda in the Zócalo will be inaugurated, as well as the decorative lighting.
On November 1, the UNAM’s Megaofrenda will open its doors. In addition, on October 31 there will be a Day of the Dead-themed ride, which will leave from the Monument to the Revolution.
