1. Bao Bao
An oriental-style experience. At Bao Bao, one of our favorite Taiwanese restaurants, autumn is welcomed with delicious mooncakes. They are small pastries filled with sweet bean, matcha, taro or black tea. There are also delicious pineapple mooncakes.
To enhance the flavor, we recommend pairing with Taiwanese whole leaf tea. You can also pair it with a couple of tea-based cocktails for $490.

2. Chatita Chula
An edible offering at Chatita Chula. The recipe you will taste here is dedicated to the Day of the Dead, especially to the traditional altars. It is a French brioche bread that is served with pan de muerto ice cream.
But don’t think that’s all because it also has a mandarin reduction and even a sugar skull. This dessert is a spectacle on the table thanks to the copal that adorns it. We recommend pairing it with the pan de muerto affogato latte.

3. Amore 21
The pinkiest Halloween desserts in CDMX have arrived! Amore 21 is the coffee shop where everything, absolutely everything, is pink and instagramebale. Yes, even the spookiest dishes of the season are super cute.
This 2023 you’ll find pink pan de muerto, themed cookies and drinks you won’t want to miss. For example: carajillo and pumpkin latte and even a succulent milkshake with a pan de muerto on top. You’ll forget your diet!

4. Fougasse
The king of croissant roulette in CDMX, Fougasse, also put together a special menu. One of the most acclaimed and succulent recipes is the stuffed pan de muerto croissant roulette – you read that right!
You’ll also find classic pan de muerto, stuffed options and the popcorn version, what a treat! In addition, there are spooky drinks and of course the autumnal pumpkin spice.

5. Petit Gateau
When it comes to themed desserts, Petit Gateau takes the lead. This coffee shop is located in downtown Mexico City and has fabulous presentations; those who try them are not only won over by the flavor, but also by the beauty of the plating.
To celebrate Halloween 2023 they put together a spooky menu with pie, pan de muerto, mousse and more. Among the most acclaimed is “ofrenda”, a pan de muerto with chocolate ice cream, amaranth cookie, black sapote mousse and mole bonbon. What a delicacy!

6. Glace Bistro
Of course, among the best Halloween desserts in CDMX, Glace Bistro‘s ice cream could not be left out. This ice cream parlor brought together the flavors of autumn and launched a succulent pumpkin pie ice cream with natural pumpkin paste that is prepared in a high vacuum.
We recommend ordering your ice cream with a double portion, so you can combine the delicious seasonal flavor with another recipe. Here there are flavors that change periodically.

7. Lolanti Coffee
Lolanti Coffee is a coffee shop in Coyoacán that went autumn mode and put together a pumpkin season menu. There are hot and cold drinks and pumpkin spice flavored frappés. To complement: donuts, berlinesas, cupcakes, cookies, roles, cake and the unmissable pan de muerto filled with pumpkin cream.
There is also a special Halloween menu with cupcakes and miniature cakes that are decorated with the colors of the season, and you’re sure to come out with a little skull, or a little skull. You’re sure to get a calaverita, a ghost and a spider or two.

8. Ficelle CDMX
Ficelle could not be left out of the list of Halloween desserts in CDMX. This place prepares a delicious pan de muerto. We love that there are three versions to enjoy it: orange blossom, pink and chocolate.
During October they will have a seasonal dessert in collaboration with chef Mónica Patiño. It is a Berliner called “suspiro de los muertos” (sigh of the dead) filled with cajeta or lemon. This treat will be available throughout October and proceeds will be donated to the Association for International Solidarity in Asia.

9. Niños Raros
This is not a real candle, but an edible one! At Niños Raros, the original restaurant in Colonia San Rafael, launched a spectacular seasonal dessert. It is a white chocolate candle, miniature pan de muerto breads and pink pepper. With a delicious touch of marigold blossom, the best part is that it lights up!
